About NaamDhara

Last updated: 2026-10-25

NaamDhara ("the flow of the Name") is a Naam Jap and Sadhana counter: a quiet place to count mantras, keep a mala, set gentle daily goals, sit with a timer and remember festival days. It works offline, never nags about missed days, and keeps your practice on your own device unless you choose to sync it.

1. Who runs it

NaamDhara is built and run by Rounit Kumar, an individual developer and practitioner based in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It is not a company, a temple or a religious organisation and does not represent any sampradaya. The content comes from traditional sources and our own plain-language explanations; where a text is a paraphrase we say so.

2. What we hold to

  • Offline first. Every count is saved on your device before anything else happens. The counter never waits for the network.
  • No shaming. There are no streak alarms or guilt notifications. A day without practice is a rest day.
  • Distraction-free counting. Ads never appear on the counter, timer or Pure Counter screens, and the free counter never requires a login.
  • Respect for the content. Mantras and prayers are presented carefully, with sources, and AI features are filtered to stay reverent.
  • Honest data handling. The Privacy Policy is written from what the code actually does.
